Dovetail joinery with saw and chisel
Did you know you can use hand tools to cut sliding dovetail joints for a candle-stand in the same time it’d take to make jigs and do router setup? Mike Cyros, a former Period Furniture Group leader, will first show you how to do precise layout on the parts. Then he’ll demonstrate how to use hand saws and chisels to cut the mortises on the post and tenons on the legs. The result will be a tight, good-looking dovetail joint.
