Summer Trip—Andrew Pearce Bowls

REGISTER for this Meeting
Get ready for a great Guild Summer Trip to the workshop of Andrew Pearce Bowls in Hartland, VT.

Guests are welcome at this family friendly event. Please contact programs@gnhw.org to add guests.

Andrew Pearce has been making wooden bowls since setting up his shop about 6 years ago not too far from his father’s Simon Pearce handmade glass shop in Quechee. Andrew’s wooden bowls are made from locally sourced cherry and black walnut logs, and we will see the entire operation from coring to finishing. Since the factory in in full swing only on weekdays, we have scheduled our visit for a Wednesday, July 17th. For a preview of our tour, go to andrewpearcebowls.com/pages/makers-story and click on the video.

Andrew Pearce is located at 59 Woodstock Road (Route 4), Hartland, VT, between Quechee and Woodstock, and Google Maps will get you there; it’s a little over an hour’s drive up beautiful Interstate 89 from Concord, NH. Our tour will begin at 10 a.m. when the store and workshop open.

After our tour, you have two options for lunch. There are several sandwich shops in the area, or we can gather together for a group lunch at the Simon Pearce Restaurant about 15 min. away [see the menu at simonpearce.com/our-restaurant. Following lunch, you would have a chance to visit Simon Pearce’s glass factory on your own, or make this a family day in the Upper Valley [see hanoverchamber.org/100-things-to-go-see-and-do-in-the-upper-vall]

As always, spouses are invited to attend and registration on the Guild web site is required; be sure to indicate if you will be joining the group for lunch so we can make reservations.
